About

The Seismic Design Club, known as SDC, was founded in 2008. In SDC, as the name implies, we focused solely on the competition. We performed well, but we wanted to be more than just a competition club.

This is one of our first years as Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI), instead of SDC. As EERI, we plan to expand our vision to include education and guest speakers. We envision our club members to be knowledgeable in the field of earthquake engineering, beyond what we learn in classes. We retain our SDC roots by placing a heavy focus on application. We also love breaking the structure with a sine sweep.

We look forward to meeting new people and winning the competition in 2015.
